OK, so...is your act together?

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to observe some behavior that is unfortunately becoming increasingly common. A man was in line to purchase tickets for an event. Nothing wrong with that you say; except for the fact that he was carrying on a full voice loud conversation with someone on his cell phone and with the cashier - at the same time. How does one do this effectively? Well, one does not do this effectively. The cashier asked how many tickets he wanted and he said six, but he really meant three because that's all the cash he had on hand at the moment, and the cashier had the audacity to ask him to clarify how many tickets he wanted, etc., etc. Oh, come one now ladies and gentlemen. Get your act together before you do business so you can give your undivided attention to the task at hand. Consider one person at a time and therefore complete a transaction in a place of business without confusion and frustration. Think about it. Make sure your act is together.
